Dr. Chris Funes has served as president of Health Leaders Network since 2020. In this role, he leads the efforts of more than 2,200 providers in Louisiana and Mississippi to improve outcomes for patients, decrease total cost of care and improve the patient experience. Dr. Funes also serves as the Medical Director of Ambulatory Quality for Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS) and has a passion for improving the quality of care delivered to all patients.
Dr. Funes is a general pediatrician practicing with Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group since August of 2000. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and completed a general pediatric residency at the Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Residency Program in Houston, during which time he served as the Ben Taub Hospital Neonatology Chief Resident. As a medical student, he was awarded the Herbert Rothschild Award as the outstanding pediatric medical student in his class. Dr. Funes is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and currently serves on the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Pharmacy Advisory Committee and the LDH Medicaid Quality Committee.
David Hochheiser joined Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS in 2021 and serves as Vice President of Payor Strategy. In his current role, David oversees payor contracts and relationships, not only for FMOLHS, but for Health Leaders Network. Previously, he served as the Senior Vice President of Provider Networks at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana (BCBS).
David earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Vermont and his master’s in mathematics from the University of Vermont. He has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the healthcare industry and is considered a subject matter expert on healthcare strategy, payor-provider relationships, payment integrity, revenue cycle, value-based programs and healthcare reimbursement methodologies.
As Vice President of Ambulatory Quality, Christy Limbers is responsible for directing quality operations, value-based care analytics and digital health solutions across Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (FMOLHS).
Christy has been with FMOLHS since 1999 and has held leadership positions in nursing, ambulatory health care strategy and information services, including a role as Chief Nursing Information Officer.
Christy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Louisiana State University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University.
Renée Zimmerman, Health Leaders Network’s Senior Director of Clinical Operations, has been with the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System since 2009. She has served in nursing leadership roles for inpatient operations, clinic/ambulatory operations, and population health.
Her primary role focuses on the development and implementation of clinical pathways to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs, in addition to leading comprehensive care management services for our covered lives.
As Senior Director of Operations and Strategic Planning for Health Leaders Network, Kaki is responsible for network development and administration, strategic program management, marketing and communications, and patient experience.
Prior to joining Health Leaders Network in 2018, Kaki worked primarily in communications and marketing for multiple organizations including Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System and Baton Rouge General.
Kaki earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University and a Master of Healthcare Administration from University of Central Florida.
